Greetings, This series of write-ups is fully intended and is going to cover specifically to renew ourselves. The daily write-ups will be published each day over the next 21 days. In case you are supposed to follow this series, I urge you to plan it as a course of days to meditate on these verses daily, not only these verses alone; definitely, you will be led to have more verses, and continue to do what the verses meditated lead you to do.
Salvation is an event and a lifelong process, yes, both. This we can see in King David’s life. In all his situations, before he talked about the situation, he used to declare his salvation and overcame any such problem.
The Lord is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the strength of my life;
Of whom shall I be afraid? — Psalm 27:1
On Day 1, let us start from Genesis 1 and proclaim that I believe that God is the Creator of all things. Everything that exists began with Him, and I acknowledge Him as the source and foundation of life.
“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” — Genesis 1:1
Let us say that I believe in the Holy Spirit, who was present at creation, actively involved in God’s work from the very beginning.
“The Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.” — Genesis 1:2
Let us say that I believe that God creates and reveals His will through His Word. By His spoken Word, all things came into existence.
“And God said, ‘Let there be light,’ and there was light.” — Genesis 1:3
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” — John 1:1
Let us say that I believe that I am created in God’s image. My body is formed from the dust, and my life comes from the breath of God, giving my life dignity, purpose, and value.
“Then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature.” — Genesis 2:7
Let us say that I believe that God gave humanity freedom of choice along with clear boundaries, calling us to obey Him willingly.
“And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, ‘You may surely eat of every tree of the garden, but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat.’” — Genesis 2:16–17
I believe that God gave a promise of redemption . He revealed hope through a Redeemer, and through that promise, I have salvation and restoration.
“I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel.” — Genesis 3:15
I acknowledge that humanity disobeyed God’s command and fell into sin, and that through sin, death entered the world. Here, it is not simply to go with acknowledgment.
Let us understand with the below two things why it is mandate to agree and confess that, “I am a sinner.”
- In Genesis chapter 1, verse 1 says God created the heavens
and the earth. In the second verse, we can see that the created
earth was:
- without form,
- void, and
- darkness was on the face of the deep.
- In Genesis chapter 1, verse 11, God created grass, herbs
that yield seed, and fruit. In chapter 2, verse 16, God commanded
to freely eat of every tree in the garden and you will not die,
except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
God created all herbs and saw that it was good. How did poisonous fruit or vegetables arrive in the world? (In Elisha’s time, the prophets cooked poisonous gourds.)
The answer is the same for both: sin entered, and the sinful nature also entered, and the seed of sinful nature was also passed into us.
God did not create darkness in or on the earth. An angel who disobeyed and fell from heaven could have been the cause of that darkness. Even in that situation, the Spirit of God controlled the face of the earth. Through God's Word, the earth was formed well again. Furthermore, God did not allow darkness to remain over the earth. He made the greater light (the Sun), the lesser light (the Moon), and the stars. Mainly, God separated the darkness from the light; after God did this through His Word, He saw that it was good (Genesis 1:18)."
Just as God rectified the formless, dark earth and made it good through His Word, He has also provided redemption to mankind through His Word. John 1:14 says, 'And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.'
We have redemption through Jesus Christ. All we must do is believe that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior and confess it with our mouths. This is the implementation of the definition Romans 10:10.
Let say - I agree and confess with God that I am a sinner.
“For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” — Romans 10:10
